Brendan Canning is better known as one of the founding members of the Canadian supergroup, Broken Social Scene. Home Wrecking Years is his third studio album release. The new record also features guest appearances from Sam Goldberg and Justin Peroff (Broken Social Scene), and Liam O’Neil (The Stills/Kings of Leon).

Fans can rest easy; Home Wrecking Years represents the best work Canning has done outside of Broken Social Scene. The songs are smooth and peppered with joyful moments throughout - big guitars, thick melodies, breezy harmonies, lush horns and loud drums. Canning combines elements of indie rock, dream pop and 70s soft rock with ease, carefully constructing each song for maximum stimulation. It's certainly an impressive effort that's more varied and engaging. Standout tracks include "Keystone Dealers," "Once I Was A Runner,"  and "Work Out In the Wash." Home Wrecking Years is Canning's boldest, and perhaps best solo album to date. More than anything, though, it's extremely enjoyable.
