Watch Video for "Liars" by Foxes Faux

25 December 2015

"Liars" is the fourth single taken from Foxes Faux's debut album, Fox Tales. The song deals with the human impulse to lie in order to avoid confrontation and the repressive frustration that comes along with it. The video was created as a live performance to literally and figuratively translate the emotions in the lyrics. "Liars" is a D.I.Y effort featuring the band supporting Robin Leitch from Random Hand as the lead actor.

Foxes Faux are an "English folk-rock band with a punk heart" formed in 2009. With an arsenal of portable acoustic instruments including mandolin, bouzouki, acoustic guitars, violin and banjo amongst others; they were well known to busk and play PA-less gigs more often than not. Since self-releasing their self-titled debut EP in 2012; the band have added a rock rhythm section and can now be found touring the club/venue circuit much more.

After touring the UK including appearances at Leeds 02 Arena, The Beat Herder, Bingley Music Live and Strummercamp Festivals, they released their 13 track debut album Fox Tales through Drawing Board Records and Bomber Music Publishing. 2015 has been their most successful year venturing out to Germany, Austria and Northern Ireland as well as supporting Franz Nicolay, New Model Army, Billy Liar and healining their local music festival The Aire Do. Check out the video above and keep an eye out for this group. Their sound is accessible and definitely worthwhile. It's like the Mumford and Sons you've always wanted.
