The latest from the Young Heavy Soul conglomerate comes from Peace to Mateo with his beat tape titled Bouquet. The instrumental body of work takes you on a lo-fi space odyssey induced trip filled with chill-hop persuasion.

Samples stream the beat, rhythmic melodies calmly soothe your ears while enjoying this ten track beat tape that is available for purchase both digitally and on cassette.

This project consists of tracks that can convey a variety of moods and memories. Tracks that can leave you grounded or looking down on the world.

“With Bouquet, I wanted to release the beat tape that I’ve been waiting to hear. A tape that is laid back but colorful, and gets in a groove early on and stays in that pocket,” Matt Black, A.KA. Peace to Mateo states in regards to his latest project.

His ability to show respect for the roots while also enhancing it with a modern kick leaves you with a refreshing taste in your ears. Some standout tracks include “Dream Cruise,” which serves spacey synths with keys and rolling drums. While “Light Pool” takes you on a little bit of a darker adventure embodied with mysterious vibes.

The album will be released digitally and on limited edition cassettes Saturday, October 8th (Record Store Day) via Young Heavy Souls and YHS Cassettes.
